George Rami Dirani, MD, FACC is a skilled clinical and interventional cardiologist who brings a wealth of experience to his role as Director of the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Ascension Oakland-Macomb Hospital. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at Wayne State University School of Medicine, where he is actively involved in mentoring and educating medical students and residents.

Dr. Dirani’s academic foundation was laid at Michigan State University, where he earned his undergraduate degree, followed by his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in 2013. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit in 2016, where he received advanced training in managing complex cardiovascular cases. Dr. Dirani then completed fellowships in Cardiovascular Medicine at Beaumont Health and Interventional Cardiology at Ascension St. John Hospital, further refining his expertise in interventional techniques.

Dr. Dirani specializes in the treatment of complex coronary artery disease, peripheral arterial disease, and catheter-based interventions for pulmonary embolism and deep vein thrombosis. His clinical expertise also extends to managing resistant hypertension and providing mechanical circulatory support for critically ill patients. At Millennium Cardiology, Dr. Dirani maintains a busy outpatient practice where he treats conditions such as hypertension, dyslipidemia, heart failure, and arrhythmias, providing comprehensive cardiovascular care to his patients.

Outside of his clinical practice, Dr. Dirani enjoys a variety of hobbies that reflect his diverse interests. He is an avid golfer, enjoys attending Broadway shows, and is a dedicated Dungeons and Dragons enthusiast, often engaging in campaigns with friends and family.
