Herman Kado, MD, FACC, FSCAI, RPVI is a distinguished interventional cardiologist and a leader in vascular interventions. He holds the position of Clinical Assistant Professor at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan, and serves as an Assistant Professor at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. He is the director of the Venous Thromboembolism Events Clinic at Ascension Providence Hospital

Dr. Kado completed his undergraduate studies at Wayne State University, followed by earning his MD from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 2006. He then pursued a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Illinois-Chicago, completing it in 2009. He further specialized with a fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Florida in Jacksonville in 2012, and an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at the Borgess Heart Institute in Kalamazoo, Michigan, in 2013.

Dr. Kado is internationally recognized for his expertise in the treatment of pulmonary embolism and catheter-based treatment of deep vein thrombosis. He is the primary investigator in several ongoing catheter-based pulmonary embolism trials. Additionally, he specializes in managing peripheral arterial disease, particularly in patients with critical limb ischemia and limb-threatening conditions. Dr. Kado also maintains a busy clinical practice, addressing all aspects of cardiovascular care, including hypertension, dyslipidemia, heart failure, and chronic coronary artery disease. He enjoys time outside of the office with his family and children.
